  • Members of the Drill team and Dance joined Brandy and Queen Latifah at the Rite-Aid Beauty and Health Expo on Saturday January 20, 2001 in New Orleans at the Superdome.

Brandy along with Queen Latifah signed autographs and spoke to a crowd regarding health, beauty, acting, and singing. Members had an opportunity to load bags of free goodies from vendors at the Expo. Pictures were taken with Brandy and Queen Latifah and everybody had a good time.

  • The Foundation Community Choir sung at the 16th Annual Stellar Gospel Award Show in Atlanta, Ga on Saturday January 13th. The choir sung a tribute to Brandy after she received her Most Notable Achievement Award for Humanitarian efforts. The choir sung a rendition of One Voice with lyric changed to suit the occasion. Willie Norwood Sr. came from Los Angeles to work with the group for two weeks prior to their performance. Choir Directors are Katherine Hayes and Thomas Richardson. This was an experience for our members. Many celebrities were there and this was their first performance. Check your local TV listing for the Stellar Awards to be aired in your area.
  • The Premeire Dance Troupe debut performance at the South Pike Basketball Tournament on January 6 was a knockout. The troupe performed for both games and the crowd loved it. Instructor Tiffany Marsalis, Captains LeVonta McCreary and Jennifer Crimiel should be proud of their troupe.
  • The December 29 Parent and Awareness Seminar was a smash! Parents of each member attended the monthly parent meeting and enjoyed the time together getting to know more about how we can strive to be our best. Sonja Norwood led the discussion on the topic "Strive To Be The Best". Not only did parents attend but each member was present and participated.
